Dr. Sami Hassan

Dr. Sami Hassan is a Consultant Psychiatrist at ACPN, Al Ain. He is a German-board certified consultant in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy earning his specialization in 2019 from Facharzt für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie. He earned his medical degree (MBBCh) from Mansoura University, Egypt, in 2011. Moreover, he holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Business Administration from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, attained in 2021. He completed additional certification training in addiction medicine, clinical quality management, traffic medicine, and psycho-cardiology. He is a licensed consultant by the DoH, Abu Dhabi.

With 13 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hassan worked in acute, general, addiction, rehabilitation, and geriatric psychiatry, with additional neurology experience. His consultant roles include ZfP Winnenden, SRH Work Rehabilitation, CTS Clinic Bad Liebenzell, MediClin Offenburg, and ZFP Clinic Nordschwarzwald. He also served as Head of Doctors at the Addiction Clinic of Bad Liebenwerda. His work includes open and closed wards, crisis intervention, interdisciplinary care, and teaching and supervising students in psychiatric medicine.

Dr. Hassan assesses and treats depression, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, addiction, psychosomatic conditions, and sleep disorders. His clinical interests include psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation psychiatry. Backed by evidence-based care centered around the patient, his approach follows diverse factors including biological, psychological, and social to help patients achieve sustainable results beyond just medicine.
