Dr. Aram Hasan

Dr. Hasan’s journey in mental healthcare spans over a decade of service across Europe and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he has held various positions that reflect his dedication to advancing mental health care. He began his career in psychiatry in 2005 providing counseling, treatment, and support for individuals with conditions such anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, aggression, and psychoses as well as complex trauma (PTSD) over the years at top mental health institutions in Netherlands until 2020. He then moved to the UAE, working with Novomed as consultant psychiatrist in Abu Dhabi and Dubai until 2023 when he joined the ACPN team. Dr. Hasan is not only a practitioner but also a lecturer, researcher, and advisor to government and commercial organizations in Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. His research contributions have significantly enhanced understanding of culturally oriented treatment approaches, such as Co-TFT, Co-EMDR, and Co-BEP, and their profound effects on mental health. His work in teaching the next generation of mental health professionals emphasizes empathy and cultural sensitivity in interactions and treatment of individuals with different needs.

With his qualifications, experience, and dedication, Dr. Aram Hasan holds a deep understanding of psychiatric health and trauma psychotherapy and believes in making a lasting impact on the well-being of individuals across diverse communities.

Aram Hasan is a consultant psychiatrist at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, Dubai. He completed his Bachelor’s degree with honors before pursuing a medical degree specializing in psychiatry and trauma psychotherapy at Erasmus MC and ARQ in the Netherlands in 2012. Hasan holds medical licensures in the Netherlands and the UAE’s DoH and DHA. His commitment to the field of mental health is unwavering, as he continues to diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of mental health disorders, including anxiety, mood disorders, depression, psychosis, ADHD, and complex PTSD.
