Dr. Mansour Aly Assaf

Dr. Mansour Aly Assaf is a Consultant Psychiatrist at ACPN Al Ain. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) with honors in 2001 from Ain Shams University, Egypt, where he also completed a Master’s in Neuropsychiatry in 2005 and a Doctorate in Psychiatry (MD) in 2011. He is certified by the Arab Board of Psychiatry (2007) and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in London in 2014. Dr. Assaf is licensed to practice as a consultant psychiatrist in the UAE (DOH/HAAD), UK (GMC), and Egypt, and is an active member of several regional and international psychiatric societies.

With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Assaf served in institutions across the UAE, UK, and Egypt.In the UAE, he held consultant roles at Zayed Military Hospital and the National Rehabilitation Center (NRC), a WHO collaborative center, where he led the Acute Treatment Unit and contributed to national training and clinical guidelines. Most recently, he served as Clinical Academic Group Lead and Head of the Addiction and Rehabilitation Unit at Maudsley Health/Al Amal Hospital in Dubai. His career in Egypt includes extensive clinical, academic, and supervisory roles at the Prof. Okasha Institute of Psychiatry, Ain Shams University. Throughout his career, he has supervised resident doctors, contributed to research, led training workshops, and collaborated on mental health policy and awareness campaigns.

Dr. Assaf specializes in adult psychiatry, addiction and co-occurring disorders, sleep and psychosomatic disorders, and neurocognitive and memory impairments. He integrates evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychotherapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
