Ms. Mahrukh Mir is a Psychologist at ACPN Dubai. She holds a Master of Psychology (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has additional training in Psychological First Aid, Trauma-Informed Mental Health Care, and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergencies (MHPSS). She is licensed by the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai.
Ms. Mir has over five years of experience across clinical, academic, and crisis-support settings in New Zealand and the UAE. She has experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults, conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments, and supporting clients through crisis intervention, safety planning, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
She works with adolescents and adults presenting with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, identity and self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, resilience-building needs, occupational burnout, and neuropsychological conditions including ADHD and ASD. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based interventions, and somatic regulation strategies, tailoring treatment through a trauma-informed and neuro-affirming approach.
