Dr. Reem Mudawi

Dr. Reem Mudawi is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at ACPN Dubai. She holds an MBBS from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Sudan, completed in 2009. She completed core psychiatric training with the St Mary's training scheme in the UK, earned Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2016, and received her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2019. She holds GMC Specialist Register (UK) and a DHA license as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Dr. Mudawi brings more than ten years of experience across specialist child and adolescent mental health, inpatient, liaison, and community psychiatry services in the UK and UAE, including rotations at Great Ormond Street Hospital and consultant posts within the NHS. She headed the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service as Clinical Academic Group Lead at Maudsley Health, Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, leading multidisciplinary teams and supervising residents and junior clinicians.

Dr. Mudawi's expertise includes neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychosis, as well as pediatric liaison psychiatry. She has a keen interest in teaching, having mentored junior colleagues in Sudan and the UK, and is passionate about raising the profile of child and adolescent mental health in the Gulf region. She draws on a biopsychosocial model to provide person-centered care that achieves positive outcomes for families.
