Ms. Cynthia Pottier is an Educational Psychologist at ACPN Abu Dhabi. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from University of Witwatersrand, South Africaawarded in 2017; and her undergraduate studies in Psychology from the same institution in 2012. She is a licensed psychologist with DoH, Abu Dhabi.
With over 9 years of professional experience, Ms. Pottier worked across school-based and clinical settings in South Africa, providing assessment, counseling, and intervention planning for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her work includes conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, supporting students with learning and behavioral challenges, and collaborating closely with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized support plans. She also facilitated teaching and mentorship opportunities for students at the South African College of Applied Psychology.
Ms. Pottier specializes in working with children with learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional regulation challenges, attachment difficulties,challenges with self-esteem and confidence, and anxiety disorders. She is keen on early identification and intervention, building resilience, and giving young individuals to achieve personal and academic success. Her approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
