Mishkah Allie is an Occupational Therapist at ACPN Abu Dhabi. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa (2019), and is a registered OT with the Department of Health (DoH), Abu Dhabi and Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
With a broad range of experience across mental health, pediatric care, vocational rehabilitation, and geriatric therapy, Ms. Allie worked in South Africa’s public, private, and corporate healthcare settings since 2020. She began her professional journey at Witbank Provincial Hospital, with rotation through internal medicine, psychiatry, orthopedics, and pediatric wards, delivering both inpatient and outpatient therapy. She later led the Occupational Therapy Department at Livewell Dementia Care Group, an inpatient psychiatric and geriatric facility, delivering personalized therapeutic programs for patients with dementia and psychiatric conditions. She has a strong understanding of clinical administration protocols owing to her background in medical and disability claims, where she combined her clinical expertise with policy understanding to assess her clients’ functional ability and readiness to return to work. Her experience also includes hands-on community fieldwork, pediatric developmental therapy, neurological rehabilitation, mental health interventions, and work readiness assessments
Ms. Allie’s clinical interests lie in supporting children with neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly ADHD, ADD, and learning disabilities. She brings a multidisciplinary and person-centered approach to her clinical work and remains committed to helping clients achieve independence through holistic, individualized care.
