Awaatif Al Zaabi is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN Abu Dhabi. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the United Arab Emirates University (1996) and a Diploma in Psychological Skills from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy. She is also certified as a Child Protection Specialist and a Judicial Officer in Child Protection. Ms. Al Zaabi is licensed by the Department of Health (DoH) in Abu Dhabi.
With over two decades of professional experience, Ms. Al Zaabi worked extensively across multiple clinical units at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) Behavioral Science Pavilion. Her career includes two years in the adult day center unit (1997–1999), five years in adult outpatient and inpatient care (1999–2005), and over 20 years as a senior clinical psychologist in the Child Developmental Clinic (since 2004). Throughout her work, she has conducted psychometric evaluations, cognitive assessments, and provided individual, group, family, and play therapy to patients with a range of mental health conditions. She played a vital role in training new psychologists and promoting mental health awareness through lectures and community engagement, including support during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is an active participant in professional forumsincluding the American Psychology Association Conference (2015) and the Middle East Psychology Association (2023).
