Dr. Suzette Ebersohn is an Educational Psychologist at ACPN Abu Dhabi. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, following her undergraduate studies in Education at the same university. Dr. Ebersohn is licensed by the DoH, Abu Dhabi and the HPC, South Africa.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Ebersohn brings a strong foundation in both psychological practice and teaching to her work. She began her professional journey as an educator, teaching children with special educational needs for sixteen years before establishing her private practice in 2007. She since worked extensively in schools, private practice, and specialist care settings, providing consultation, assessment, and intervention for children and young people with learning, social, emotional, and behavioral support needs. She collaborates closely with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored support and improve treatment outcomes. She facilitates training programs aimed at helping parents and educators in enabling an inclusive environment that supports children’s mental health and development.
Dr. Ebersohn specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and resilience-building strategies. Her clinical practice is rooted in positive, systemic therapeutic principles, while collaborating with families through culturally responsive, evidence-based care. She is passionate about promoting individual strengths and creating optimal learning environments where children can develop and thrive in their capabilities.
