Ms. Bawish Ejaz is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at ACPN. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Pakistan (2012). She is licensed by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and the Department of Health (DoH) in Abu Dhabi. She is also a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). She holds certifications as an Advanced ASI Practitioner and ADOS 2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition).
With a career spanning over 10 years, Ms. Ejaz has worked in Pakistan, the UAE and the UK in various capacities. Her recent roles include Senior Occupational Therapist at Oxford Health University Hospital (NHS), where she worked with young individuals with autism and mental health challenges, and at Kids Heart Medical Center in Abu Dhabi, where she led the mental health team and developed new services. She has also worked at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in the NICU and PICU departments, treating premature babies and managing complex cases of developmental delays and cerebral palsy. Her experience extends to various settings, including Danat Al Emarat and Mafraq Hospital, where she focused on pediatric rehabilitation.
Ms. Ejaz specializes in treating children with a wide range of developmental and physical challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and sensory processing issues, and executive functioning skills supporting ADL (activities of daily living). She is skilled in using diagnostic tools like sensory processing evaluations and motor skills assessments. Ms. Ejaz is passionate about helping neurodiverse children reach their potential by providing tailored strategies, building on their strengths, and collaborating closely with families and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
