Dr. Therese Ward is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She earned her higher diploma (DEA) in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University in 2005 and then completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from the Sorbonne Paris Nord University, France. She is also qualified in Art Therapy from the Sorbonne Paris 7 University, France in 2018. She is a licensed practitioner in DHA, Dubai and MoH, Lebanon.
Dr. Ward has twenty years of experience in alleviating psychological pain. She provides psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults through her years in Lebanon as a private practitioner. Dr. Wards is specialized in adult and couple therapy. She helps couples in untangling interpersonal struggles and evolving towards serenity. She also held appointments lecturing at prominent universities including Lebanese University and University of Balamand where she supervised over one hundred and fifty students a year, training them on Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology. She is highly skilled in assessing patients’ behaviors and needs via sensitive listening, critical observation and providing Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Dr. Ward’s expertise covers all types of intrapersonal and interpersonal disorders like anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, panic attacks, and phobias. As an expert in couple’s therapy her approach allows spouses to untie certain pathogenic knots of their bond through analyzing unconscious couple and individual processes and allows them to evolve towards mature relationship in a confidential, safe, neutral, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Her approaches employ analytical techniques of free association, dream analysis, and Art Therapy.
