Ms. Yara Sawan is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Balamand, Lebanon, in 2023, and her Bachelor’s degree from the Lebanese American University in 2016. With over four years of professional experience, she has developed a specialization in psychodynamic therapy, enhanced by CBT training from the Beck Institute USA. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with DOH, Abu Dhabi and the Ministry of Health in Lebanon.
Before joining ACPN, Ms. Sawan served at Mt. Lebanon Hospital University Center as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, focusing on psycho-oncology and palliative care for those on long-term care as well as the terminally ill. She provided individual and group therapy, supported nursing staff psychologically, while also working as a private practitioner for outpatient clients.
Her expertise spans mood disorders, anxiety, adjustment issues, personality disorders, OCD, ADHD, psychosomatic symptoms, trauma, and grief, offering an integrative, personalized approach to mental health support, particularly for those facing chronic illnesses utilizing evidence-based approaches including CBT and psychodynamic therapy.
