Ms. Basma Mubarak is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She completed her Master’s degree in
Clinical Psychology at the United Arab Emirates University in 2020 where she also completed
her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2017. Ms. Basma is a licensed clinical psychologist both
in DHA and MOH.
Ms. Mubarak gained experience through clinical practice for over four years in renowned
institutions like Rashid Hospital, Dubai and Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah. She works with clients to
treat psychological disorders including depression, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety,
panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorders and other mental health
concerns including social and marital relationships, low self-esteem, stress, etc. She also works
with patients to enhance life skills such as adaptability and acceptance, psychological resilience,
prioritization, decisiveness, emotional intelligence, time management, and anger management.
Ms. Mubarak uses a combination of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior
Therapy. She is skilled at conducting cognitive assessments, personality assessments, and
behavioral assessments including BASC, IQ assessments, and achievement tests. She
is a firm believer that the therapists’ approach to patient recovery is in carefully listening and
providing psychological care for its recipients rooted in an evidence-based science.
