Ms. Mariam Al-Salahat is a Psychologist at ACPN. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Jordan in 2011 and her bachelor’s degree in 2007. She is a licensed psychologist in Jordan and the UAE, Abu Dhabi. Ms. Al-Salahat has over fourteen years of experience in mental health and clinical psychology in Jordan working across specialized treatment centers.
She gained experience working at NGOs including: Swedish Organization for Individual Relief, Center for Victims of Torture, Jordan River Foundation, OXFAM GB, CARE International, and World Vision international. She has worked with various populations including: inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, and psychosocial support for victims of gender-based violence and war trauma.

Her role involved designing and implementing therapy and psychosocial support, family counseling, supervision and training of care teams, policy making, and leading community and public centric care and awareness campaigns. Ms. AlSalahat is a certified coach and trainer on mental health topics in Writing and Narrative Therapy.
Ms. Al-Salahat focuses on individual, group, and family therapy helping children, teens, adults, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mental health challenges. Using her in-depth experience and understanding of traditions and backgrounds, she uses interventions centered around cognitive behavioral therapy, writing and narrative therapy and problem management, and interpersonal therapy.
