Dr Moghazy is consultant in general adult psychiatry and has 29 years of psychiatric practice all within the national health services institutes and university hospitals across northwest and south of England. She has 9 years experience in eating disorder working at Berkshire eating disorder service managing inpatient and outpatient care. Over the past 5 years she has worked as consultant for early intervention psychosis service covering east Manchester with extensive experience in family intervention, CBT for psychosis and relapse prevention.
Dr Moghazy has long-standing experience in diagnosis and treatment of common and complex mental health conditions including depression, bipolar effective disorder, anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, acute stress and burnout syndrome and sleep disorders, complex trauma, personality disorder, eating disorder and all psychotic disorder including schizophrenia and provision of early intervention for patients with high risk of developing psychosis as prevention measures.
Dr Moghazy obtained medical qualification from Ain shams University, Egypt in 1991 and moved to the United Kingdom where she completed core and higher psychiatric training at Leeds, Bradford and Cambridge University hospitals. She became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2009. Dr Moghazy has vast experience in medical education and delivered the training programs for psychiatry and MRCPsych in the northwest region of the UK. She held the role of the regional Royal College of psychiatrist post graduate tutor and psychotherapy lead since 2017, She is a Royal college membership examiner and honorary professor in psychotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan university since 2019. She is trained to deliver trauma informed services for mental health professionals.
