Dr. Hana Al Geilani is Specialist Psychiatrist at ACPN. She has twelve years of experience in psychiatry in crisis resolution, forensics, adult, child, and older age psychiatry in the UK and the GCC region. She completed her medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Liverpool, UK in 2007. After completing core training in psychiatry from Imperial College London in 2013, she received her membership and eventually fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK.
Dr. Al Geilani worked as a specialist in child and adolescent, and adult psychiatry for a total of six years in the UK. Establishing her practice in her home country of Saudi Arabia in 2014, she worked as a senior specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry at Al Warood Polyclinic, Riyadh just shy of a year while continuing to chair the medical board of directors from 2018 till date. She also practiced psychiatry in Oman as a specialist for just over two years till 2018.
In the UAE, she took placement in Psychiatry at Rashid Hospital, Dubai on voluntary basis and gained insights there. In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Al Geilani taught psychiatry to medical students from Oxford and Cambridge Universities in UK as well as Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Oman.
Dr. Al Geilani has experience working with conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, drug addiction, self-harm, personality disorders, insomnia, autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder and other mental health conditions in children and adults.
