Dr. Agniezka Montgomery is a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist joining ACPN from Neuropedia Children’s Neuroscience Center, Dubai where she worked as the Head of Psychology Department. She completed her PhD in 2016 at The Medical University of Science, Poznan, Poland. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan, Poland in 1997 following which she carried out her fellowship at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, USA in Autistic Children’s Assessment Center. She holds licensure for DOH and DHA and is a member of the Polish Association of Psychologists.
Dr. Montgomery has eighteen years of experience in the field of child and adolescent psychology. Having hands-on-experience working with children’s early assessment and rehabilitation, Dr. Montgomery has delivered psychological services for children, families and individuals in Poland. For over a decade, she worked as an external consultant for many hospitals in Poland, performing assessment of children’s development within the framework of various research programs and grants. She has experience in clinical academia as Faculty of Clinical Psychology teaching medical students at the University of Medical Science in Poland.
Besides her deep experience with children born preterm, CP, genetic disorders, ADHD, neurological impairments, learning deficits, ASD, Dr. Montgomery works with children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, depression and other behavioral presentations of childhood (e.g. bedwetting, sleep problems, etc.). She is skilled at carrying out developmental assessments including BSID II, Bayley III, Nepsy II, CBCL, VABS-II, and ADOS-2. Her skill set includes diagnosis and treatment of brain dysfunctions, developing psychomotor activities and exercises helpful in correcting developmental disharmony, assessment of children’s development, management of complex diagnoses, and therapy for learning difficulties.
